On Thursday, October 11th from 5 to 7pm, I'll be at the opening reception for an exhibit of my paintings and prints at the Elisabeth Miller Library at the University of Washington Botanic Gardens. Watercolors from the 2013 calendar Nature's Peace will be on display, including the cover painting. The calendar pairs quotations from John Muir with my paintings of wild places, both in national parks and in urban areas (including Union Bay Natural Area, where I saw this wood duck). I am also showing several of the relief prints I've created over the last year--several of them have been or are soon to be published by Pomegranate. If you live in the area, I invite you to join me for wine and refreshments. I look forward to sharing some of my favorite places and wildlife! The show will be up until December 28th. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the Miller Library.
