Raccoon Notecard, Molly Hashimoto
This week
Pomegranate Communications published several new notecard images of my work. I was very glad when they chose the raccoon painting: this beautiful creature is one that I encountered at
Union Bay Natural Area, a place that I have been visiting for a long time--a wetland in Northeast Seattle where visitors can view wildlife, much of it far more exotic and rare than this raccoon, in a very urban setting-- the University Village Mall, and the University of Washington are minutes away.
Trillium Notecard, Molly Hashimoto
Also just published is this trillium notecard. Trilliums are among my favorite wildflowers and I've written about them several times on this blog. To me they represent all that is fresh about springtime in the Pacific Northwest, where you can find them in lowland forests beginning in April and then into June in the lower alpine zone of the Cascade Mountains.
Both paintings are beautiful and you already know that I love the trillium one. Have a great weekend.
