Snow Textures

Yesterday we walked at the Magnuson Park wetlands. Yes, it was bitterly cold, but so worthwhile to see the beautiful textures that appeared as snow settled on branches. That texture reveals so much of the underlying structure of plants, and also reveals just how many plants grow there. You don’t notice all of them when you walk past on a day without snow—only the larger plants attract your eye.
