Please join me for an online workshop at Winslow Art Center next Monday, May 5 from 10am to 1pm Pacific Daylight time. I’ve just returned from a trip to northern Arizona and I’ll be demonstrating from photos and plein air sketches I did there. You can try out simple rock formations or more complex erosional patterns like the one above.. Join me that day, or if you can’t make that time, you can view the video whenever it is convenient. I’ll also share an ongoing painting of the Grand Canyon which I am painting in watercolor. The above sketch relies heavily on strong pencil lines while the watercolor painting will rely on value and color.
